Earlier this past week, the Asahi Shimbun reported that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had nominated Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize. What is most curious is that this has been touted by the Trump Regime while the Prime Minister has downplayed this in Japan. What is known is that he did indeed write the Nobel Committee a five-page document praising Trump's efforts for peace with North Korea. What's troubling is that PM Abe's own spokesman has declined to say whether or not he nominated Trump for the coveted Peace Prize. Abe himself will neither confirm nor deny this. Rather, he made some vague blanket statement that the Nobel Committee does not disclose recommenders and nominees for fifty years. Thus Abe declines to comment. It is likely that PM Abe has been strong-armed by Donald Trump who has been obsessed with acquiring the Nobel Peace Prize for the sole purpose of equating himself with his predecessor Barrack Obama who won the Nobel Peace Prize just before taking office as 44th President of the United States. It should be further be noted, that if indeed he did in fact nominated Trump at his behest, he is embarrassed to have done so and looks to history to judge him in fifty years. We have long speculated that Shinzo Abe is playing Trump. It is no secret that Abe's wife loathes Trump and pretends to not speak English when they meet. In light of Abe's slow military buildup, it should be noted that he has been angling to strip away elements of Japan's Post War Constitution prohibiting Japan from any offensive role or capability to fight a future war. Let's hope Abe hasn't sold his soul to a conman and a bully to defend Japan and her long term security interests.

A Dangerous New World
As 2018 looms closer to a close, the chaos of global threats to peace and security have multiplied in the wake of the failed leadership of the Trump Regime. Since the end of the Second World War, the world has looked to America to be the proponent of freedom and democracy around the world. That shining beacon on the hill as President Ronald Reagan once called it. But as it stands, this experiment with a reality TV host as president has destabilized the world order while Moscow and Beijing take full advantage of the situation. This week alone has seen such extraordinary unprecedented moves on the part of our foreign adversaries starting with the call by senior Chinese Navy officers calling for the ramming of American Navy ships in the South China Seas. If that wasn't bold enough, they also reminded the world they intend to take Taiwan back by brute force once they are confident that America will do nothing.
Meanwhile, as our foolish leader orders the withdrawal from Syria and Afganistan, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has called the American Presence in Japan an obstacle to signing a formal peace treaty that would finally end hostilities lingering from WWII. Why not? He somehow he got Trump to abandon the Middle East and our Kurdish allies to certain death gifting Moscow and Tehran dominance. With indecision and vacillation, our impulsive leader is emboldening such moves on the part of our adversaries. This is a disturbing development which further makes a case for PM Shinzo Abe to push for the record military budget he has asked for and the long overdue revision of their post-war American imposed Constitution. As a result, Japan will now get more F-35A and F-35B Stealth fighters and prepare to upgrade the existing Izumo Class carriers to launch them. Naturally, Beijing has already sounded protest and has in so many words warned of an escalation of tensions. If that weren't enough, North Korea has thrown an all or nothing denuclearization demands on this already weakened president who declared victory by meeting with their despotic leader. The solution will come for the American people have had enough of this chaos. We must right this ship of state or be sunk by it. Until that moment of truth comes, our military leadership, as well as our newly elected members of Congress must restore order before the world is plunged further into crisis. And while it is said it is always darkest before the dawn, the new reality is as my child's favorite movie says, we will have to sail through a whole ocean of bad to get there. Until then, pray for peace.

Dancing With Dictators Part III: When Tyrant Trounces Traitor
On the heels of the most recent G7 economic summit where American Anti-President Donald Trump alienated our allies and praised our enemies in Russia, the Summit to Nowhere Photo Op took place in Singapore. This should have never happened under these circumstances. Donald took his ill-equipped team that included former NBA freak show Dennis Rodman to the Dictators Love Fest and essentially fulfilled the desires of his puppet masters in the Kremlin to the delight of Beijing. As a result, the following failures occurred.
1. Trump Legitimized Kim Jong Un.
2. Trump excluded South Korea from the talks.
3. Trump displayed admiration for a murderous tyrant.
4. Trump called for a halt of all US/ROK Military Readiness Exercises.
5. Trump declared his intention to remove American Troops from Korea.
6. Trump walked away with Zero assurances for denuclearization.
7. Trump opened the door to make real estate deals for personal profit.
8. Trump declares victory for a meaningless photo-op.
9. Trump made America look Weak.
10. Kim Jong Un walks away the winner in Propaganda Coup.
The writers of the Cold War drama The Manchurian Candidate could not have dreamed up a more nightmarish script, unfortunately, this is our reality watching America fall in a slow-dive from grace in a grandiose act of stupidity and personal self-enrichment. In a nutshell, Trump has put South Korea in a dangerous situation of which could prime the Seoul for military invasion. Such an event would lead to catastrophe that would make Operation Frequent Wind look like child’s play. As an American, I am disgusted by the self-serving actions of this Anti-President who makes enemies of our closest allies and coddles up to dictators. We have a word for an American who works against his own country's interests. It's called Traitor. His removal from power could not come soon enough.

Dancing with Dictators Part II?
Just when you thought the world would be safe for another day, Donald Trump and his inflated ego and his desire for that Nobel Peace Prize strikes again. Rather than walk away mad, the catfished reality T.V. game show host turned president announced another go at producing the Dancing with Dictators show in Singapore. The problem is, this is not a reality T.V. show. This is a serious diplomatic summit of which Donald Trump is too ill-equipped to conduct. He has neither the tact nor the skills to not screw this up. For this reason, we do not support peace talks with North Korea. It is better to maintain the current balance of terror until we have a stable American leader with proven diplomatic skills to conduct these negotiations rather than risk catastrophe. Donald is more interested in the Peace Prize than the actual peace and Kim Jong Un knows that. He is not interested unless there is personal profit in it for him. He would easily sell out South Korea with disastrous results just to build another Trump Golf Resort north of the DMZ if he knew he could get away with it. Knowing his corrupt nature, he does not have neither America's or South Korea's interests at heart. At this rate, Dennis Rodman has more credibility and that's not saying much. Donald's brand of government by chaos will not serve us well. Pray this thing gets called off before someone gets hurt.

Patriotism or Pyongyang? NFL Owners Cave Into Trump's Demands
It's not even been a week since Reality T.V. Show host turned "President" Donald Trump who previously mocked North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un was last praising him. Now that Kim has catfished Donald in the most humiliating way, he is once again turned his un-presidential rage against Black NFL players in suggesting that if they do not bow to our national anthem then perhaps they should not be in this country. It's outrageous that the White NFL owners caved into Trump's racist demands to punish Black players, but worse, he is emulating the very man in Pyongyang he is angry at and all because he won't be receiving that coveted Nobel Peace Prize. Seeing Donald having the temperament of a spoiled child, it's no wonder Kim Jong Un had no trouble playing him like a fiddle. Truly pathetic!
It's bad enough we are not going to the World Cup this year, but worse that one man has forced another league's players to stand for an anthem as if this was North Korea. What's next? Will people be required to bow before his portrait like they do in Pyongyang? We can't let that happen. Not here, not now. I love this country dearly but hate this blatant racism and police brutality that is taking place. As much as it pains me to say, until further notice, I too will not stand for the anthem because one man says so.
This is not a dictatorship and I as a citizen whose family has served this county during war and in peacetime will not yield to this draft dodgers questionable authority. I am taking this stand in solidarity with our fellow Brothers and Sisters of Color because it is right. They are Americans too and many of them have spilled the same blood in the same mud for this country. This silent protest was never was about our military, or in any way a disrespect to it, but now it has become about one man's ego and you don't get to question this proud son of a Vietnam Veteran's patriotism. When facing social injustice, protest is the most American thing you can do. #EndRacism #NFLProtest

A Cautious Optimisim: Korean Leaders Meet to End Korean War
Today saw the beginning of a brave new world as the leaders of both North and South Koreas met face to face at the DMZ. Kim Jong Un stepped into South Korea with President Moon Jae-in. This was the first time a North Korean leader stepped foot into the south since 1953. This is truly a historic event. And while Kim calls for the end of the Korean War, we urge caution. We don't see how reunification can happen without major concessions from the North. And then there are the North Korean people itself who worship the Kims like gods. How do you de-programme an entire nation? To suddenly stop this way of life in the north would be as complicated as trying to de-Nazify Germany without WWII. It is not to say it is an impossibility. East and West Germany came together but this will be much harder and far more complicated. Kim Jong Un still maintains a four million man army and despite Kim's optimistic smiles, he is still a man who brutally executed a family member with an anti-aircraft gun and fed another to starving dogs. We do hope his desire to end the Korean War is genuine for we all want peace. We just don't see how Kim will give up power or dismantle the totalitarian state in order to reunify the peninsula. And while it is easy to distrust, it is harder to imagine a scenario where the DMZ is dismantled and Kim strong-arming our ridiculous impulsive leader (who will likely claim that he alone should get credit for achieving peace) to remove American troops from Korea that could become a prelude to invasion. Thus, we urge caution. It's not that we want to piss on the possibility of lasting peace, we worry that this may appear too easy and perhaps be a ruse to fulfill an agenda that could lead to catastrophe. If there is any sincerity in Kim's words, the Koreans will have to take baby steps to build a better world where they shall live as one people, one nation. It is up to the Koreans to decide their fate. We wish them all the best and hope they choose wisely and choose for the side of peace. The world is watching.

Playing the Fool or Played by the Fool? PM Abe's Risk By Association With America's Unstable Leader
In a week of chaos made by America's Reality TV Show "President," PM Abe of Japan plays a risky game with Donald Trump at his private resort in Florida. We're not sure exactly what Mr. Abe is thinks he is doing there. On the surface, he's there to discuss the TPP agreement and other concessions. But is he trying to reason with the unreasoable? Or is he using his political savvy to out-con a notorious con-artist? They say there is guilt by association and for PM Abe, he is taking an awful risk that could cost him. With Abe's unpopularity at an all time high is it worth attempting to get close with a scandal ridden president facing possible impeachment who just threw his own Secretary of State under the bus while coddling up to Vladimir Putin? The risk for Abe is if he walks away empty handed, he becomes the fool. This would not look good for Japan nor for our alliance with Japan. By playing into Donald Trump's rule by chaos, PM Abe is seeking to follow Trump's toxic brand mirroring a metting with North Korea's leaders, a move that would give the rogue regime letgitimacy. That's something no American administration has done or should do for it weakens our levearge against the nuclear armed totalitarian regime as well as playing right into Pyongyang's hands. We would like to think based on PM Abe's early body language from his first meeting with Trump that he sees Donald Trump as the fool and not the other way around. But this may not be so. In becoming Trump's golfing buddy, this uncomfortable personal association exposes a weakness that will further hurt Abe politically at home and abroad not to mention his golf game which its well known that Donald often cheats. Many Americans here don't trust Donald Trump, and neither should Shinzo Abe. We sure hope PM Abe knows what he is doing. As we say here in America, the optics look bad. When you lie down with dogs, expect fleas.

Ignorance Abroad: Trump Visits Japan
In a week that earlier saw Donald Trump make a historically ignorant complaint of how a nation of "Samurai Warriors" could allow missiles not to be shot down, our American Embarrassment arrived in Japan. We presume that no one has bothered to tell him that there has been no Samurai since the end of the Boshin War of 1869 or that PM Shinzo Abe is not the Shogun. None of this of course would make any difference to this man as he would just move on with his lack of finesse or patience for Japanese traditions of subtleties. In his typically reckless tough talk, he had earlier warned the People's Republic of China about the potential big problem they would have with "Warrior Japan" if they didn't reign in North Korea. Granted Japan has a small capable Self Defense Force, it is nowhere the size of the military of Imperial Japan or that of present day China. Such tough talk drenched in ignorance could only be topped off with his own crassness by his disrespect before the Heisei Emperor who he would not bow to but rather shake his hand like he was at some board meeting to dumping an entire box of fish food in a koi pond. How Shinzo Abe puts up with this man is beyond me. It's our hope Japan does not judge America by this crude vulgar man whose regime is under criminal investigation by Special Prosecuter Robert Mueller. It's been suggested that Abe may be taking advantage of Trump's ignorance to quietly "unshackle" Japan's post war military restrictions. It's difficult to say given how they photograph playing golf and later reported foregoing traditional Japanese fare for cheesey American hamburgers. What he will do to embarass us in next in his 12 day Asia tour remains to be seen. We at home will continue to cringe with every headline.

Trump Team Misplaces Carrier?
There are times one must ask what kind of crazy world are we living in today? Seriously! After a week that saw North Korea call out the Trump Regime's bluff by launching a missile (which failed), tensions on the Korean Peninsula nearly reached a boiling point with the announced deployment of the USS Cal Vinson's carrier group. It's hard to guess if this is more laughable or just plain reckless to make such an announcement of sending force when in fact the fleet went somewhere else. While this must have made for great laughs by the Anti-Trump Resistance movement here at home, Koreans on both sides of the DMZ are likely not laughing. It's still not certain if the White House deliberately intended to fool the North Koreans or just simply did not know themselves. In any case, it's embarrassing considering Trump himself declared he knows more than his generals do. Chances are this won't be the last SNAFU on the part of the Trump Regime. Hopefully it does not get anyone killed. Then again, consider who we are talking about with his finger on the button. A position no man-child should wield yet here we are, watching two overgrown children armed with nuclear weapons toying with people's lives. You just can't make this shit up!

Pyongyang Posturing
This week has seen the U.S. Third Fleet change its plans. In the recent wake of increased tensions with the DPRK, the Navy canceled the scheduled port of calls in Australia and re-directed the U.S.S. Carl Vinson (CV-70) and it's carrier group to take up station within the sphere of the Korean Peninsula. Under normal circumstances this would seem like routine posturing to let the rogue nation and it's "Dear Leader" that the United States stands ready to defend it's South Korean & Japanese allies. What is troubling is not so much the threats coming out of Pyongyang but rather from our own new regime of amateurs whose sole foreign consistency has been its own unpredictability. Particularly when Trump claims to know more than his generals and takes his foreign policy advice from his handbag designer daughter and inexperienced son in law. This makes for a dangerous mix especially when you count the PRC's recent deployment of 150,000 ground troops along North Korea's northern border. We at American Mishima are counting on Secretary of Defense "Mad Dog" Mattis and our Naval Commanders in the Third Fleet to use caution and not indulge the impulsive whims of our unpredictable part time leader who spends more time golfing at his Florida resorts and Tweeting threats than actually governing. This should make for interesting conversation in Beijing and nervousness in Seoul & Tokyo. As we have said many times, may cooler heads prevail.

Spring Fools - Tillerson Threatens DPRK
This week in Seoul South Korea, Exxon Executive turned U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson openly threatened North Korea. Really? Oh yes he did! He is quoted as saying that the Trump administration might be forced to take pre-emptive action “if they
elevate the threat of their weapons program” to an unacceptable level.Worse, he's said "the policy of strategic of patience is over." This was not only foolish, but down right dangerous. We would expect this kind of foolish talk from Pyongyang not from Washington but there you have it.
While the DPRK lacks the military ability to bring the United States to its knees, they certainly have the ability to start a bloody war that will get a lot of South Koreans and American Troops stationed over there killed and turn the entire far east into turmoil. This is not the actions of a career diplomat. This is Amateur Hour on the world stage and its reckless actions are beneath the dignity of both the Secretary of State and the United States. This is what happens when a non-politician with the temperament of a four year old assumes office. They appoint equally unqualified people into positions of power. Tillerson has no business representing this country and the spineless Republicans who approved this man with no diplomatic experience are equally complicit in their quest for power. With so much scandal plaguing the Trump Regime in its first 100 days, it's likely they want a war just to distract us from the truth. While we don't expect restraint from the Hermit Kingdom, we hope the PRC will get them to listen to reason and ignore our temporary lapse in judgment. Wishful thinking right? In any case, tough talk means nothing without action and with the clowns running the circus inaction will be for the best so no one has to die. But who are we kidding right?

US Deploys B-1B Lancers to the Pacific
In a move that is bound to draw the ire of both Beijing and Pyongyang, the United States Air Force is sending the battle tested B-1B Lancer to Guam. The supersonic swept wing bomber capable to flying at Mach 1.2 is expected to arrive at Andersen Air Force Base this Saturday to bolster the Pacific. With recent tensions in the South China Seas worsening and repeated threats combined with missile launches from North Korea, these bombers of the 34th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron who had most recently flew combat sorties over Syria, Iraq, & Afghanistan will assure our allies in the region of American Resolve to ensure freedom of navigation and stability in the region.

Taking No Chances
Seen here is Prime Minister Shinzo Abe meeting with his top military advisors after deploying Patriot Advanced Capability 3 Missile Interceptors in response to the recent missile launches from North Korea. The last launch was capable of reaching Hiroshima thus such actions taken as stated in the PM's Message:
"This morning I convened an urgent meeting of the National Security Council. I received a briefing from the Chief of Staff, Joint Staff and then confirmed the government’s response.
North Korea’s launch of a ballistic missile cannot be tolerated. It is a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolutions and a grave provocative action in terms of Japan’s security.
We will continue to take measures resolutely, acting in close cooperation with the international community. We will also take all possible measures to ensure the safety of the Japanese people under any circumstances." - Japan PM Shinzo Abe.

NK Missile Launch Or Satellite Ruse?
Despite a growing chorus of condemnations from the United States, Japan, Russia, and South Korea, North Korea launched their "Satellite" this last Sunday and luckily nobody had to die. It is widely believed that this so-called launch of a Earth Observation Satellite by the famished Hermit Kingdom was nothing more than a ruse for the testing of a international ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear weapon to which Baby Kim could threaten the world like some maniacal Bond Villain stroking his hairless cat from his fortress in Pyongyang. Naturally state sponsored celebrations for the success of the launch erupted into a frenzy as if they had won the World Cup. For a country that can't feed it's own people, they sure have unlimited sums of money to put on massive celebrations for the Communist regime worthy of a 1950's Chinese propaganda film. What's not happening in Pyongyang is concern for their "Satellite" that at last news report was reported to be wobbling out of control. But of course you'll never hear Ri Chun Hee admit failure on North Korean TV because this is how this Authoritarian regime rolls.
Now if we in the West were to honestly believe Pyongyang's angry mouth piece who routinely tries to rally North Korean audiences to believe the West is the enemy that they will destroy, you could say yes they successfully launched a satellite in orbit. From what South Korean officials have ascertained by fallen missile debris is that this was what Japan, South Korea, and the United States have claimed all along that this was nothing more than a dangerously provocative missile test. The Satellite is not capable of Earth Orbit as it continues to be tracked wobbling out of control. Either the North Koreans completely suck at configuring gyroscopes and basic software (yeah right considering they could hack into Sony) or the more likely scenario that their satellite was merely a mockup so they could essentially claim their launch was for peaceful purposes instead of admitting the obvious truth given Pyongyang's recent behavior that this was for military purposes. Nice try Baby Kim but we're not buying it! Eat a Snickers!

Japan SDF Ready to Shoot Down North Korean Missile
As North Korea prepares to launch another test of its ballistic missiles, Japan's Self Defense Forces have been placed on high alert with orders to shoot down any missile that violates Japan's Air Space. This comes a month after Pyongyang announced it had developed a hydrogen bomb to threaten the world with bringing an already tense region to an all time high state of instability. With tensions at an all time high, Japan's Defense Ministry is taking no chances.
It's likely that should such action become necessary, Japan's Maritime SDF may fire on such a missile from one of it's AEGIS Class Warships (as seen in the above Raytheon photo) or from a land based SDF Patriot Missile battery. We sure hope it doesn't come to that but with an erratic leader like Kim, anything is possible. May cooler heads prevail.

New American Air Power Arrives in Japan
In a show of force, the United States Air Force deployed half of the 525th Fighter Squadron from Alaska to Yokota Air Base in Japan. The F-22 Raptor is our biggest, baddest 5th Generation Air Superiority Stealth Fighter. No other air force has a plane that can rival the F-22. With recent tensions from North Korea and the Chinese Navy, this deployment is meant to send a strong message to anyone thinking of challenging American Resolve in the region. We sure hope it doesn't come to that but if it does, our allies will know we have their backs and will do what is necessary to provide peace & stability in the Far East.

ばか! Are They Serious? North Korea's Latest Maritime Threat
North Korea has once again stunned the world in their use of retro technology. Recently put out to sea, this Soviet Era Golf Class Diesel that was originally built in 1958 then later taken apart then reverse engineered and further re-dubbed by the North Korean Navy as Romeo Class is out on the prowl. While this reverse engineered throwback to the Dr. Strangelove Era has yet to be outfitted with ballistic missiles, it still retains its original torpedo launch capability which according to the South Korean Government is believed to have fired a torpedo at a South Korean vessel in the Yellow Sea March of 2010 which resulted in the South Korean vessel sinking. While being a maritime menace to South Korean vessels we don't believe Japan's JMSDF or the U.S. Navy will be shaking in their boots any time soon. Nice Try Baby Kim! Go home, you're drunk! ばか!

Is Baby Kim Serious or Just Looking for Trouble?
The Korean Peninsula's favorite
moon-faced assassin of joy baby Kim Jong Un is at it again talking
smack and threatening the United States with Nuclear War. Yes, that's
right. The half starved malnourished militarized hermit kingdom whose
portly leader won't properly feed his own people has once again
misprioritized what few scarce resources the tiny isolated nation has
to create weapons of mass destruction and delivery systems to wag at
the United States it's so-called “Sworn Enemy of the North Korean
People.” It was reported last night on CNN that North Korea threatens to deliberately provoke a confrontation with the United States by conducting a nuclear test firing a long range rocket capable of reaching the continental United States at the US mainland. I would love to say I'm shaking in my boots but the fact of the matter nuclear war is nothing to joke about. Just ask any surviving Pacific Islander or Japanese fisherman who happened to be down wind of an open air nuclear test during the 1950's. It's deplorable if not downright repugnant for this novice dictator to be making such threats to an already tense region. One has to ask if he is crazy or just trying to be a tough guy in front of a captive gun pointed audience? Normally this would be laughable right out of an Austin Powers
sketch minus a Mini-me if it weren't for the fact this pudgy North Korean dictator didn't
actually have nuclear weapons. Seriously! How does this help his people? It doesn't. And why stir up trouble? There are much easier ways to get attention but belligerence should not be one of them. In our opinion, this is most likely
just talk to make the “Dear Leader” look like he's leading his
country into some glorious 1950's styled Communist Propaganda Fantasy
Film. We'll say good luck with that Baby Kim. American Mishima laughs
at you.

ばか! North Korea Launch But No Cookie
Seen here as earlier posted on Japan Today, Japan's Self-Defense Force personnel manned PAC-3 Patriot missile units at the Defense Ministry in Tokyo and throughout Japan in preparation for North Korea’s rocket launch which took place on April 12th, 2012. Despite world wide condemnation and warnings to the such, the belligerent totalitarian North Korean nation run by an untested 27 year old dictator defied the world and launched their ICBM missile. The projected path would have likely violated Japan's airspace thus prompting Japan's SDF to follow through with it's mandate to shoot it down. Japan's SDF was on high alert and ready for them but fortunately for them it didn't come to that. So here at American Mishima we'd like to offer the SDF a well deserved ばんざい for their vigilance. Please continue to protect Japan. And to baby faced Kim Jong Un we'd like to say "Nice Try but No Cookie!" ばか!
