一日の画像 - Picture of the Day
As time goes by, the memories of the tragic events of 9/11/2001 begin to fade for many but not for those who directly suffered. As we at American Mishima often search the web for items of interest we came across this photo of a grieving mother Yachiyo Kuge who flew to Shanksville, Pennsylvania from her home in Osaka to visit the memorial of United Flight 93 that bears the name of her then 20 year old son Toshiya Kuge who was the sole Japanese national on board the doomed flight that was killed along with the many brave passengers & crew who fought back against the terrorists on that dark day that changed the lives of many. We often forget the faces and the names of people as time goes by but never shall we forget what happened on United Flight 93, for it shall forever be etched into our history as the day ordinary citizens united and said no to terror. Never forget.
